Firestorm Throwdown

Alpine Ranch CrossFit is hosting the 2nd Annual Firestorm Throwdown on November 7th from 8:00am to approximately 2:00pm. It will be in the lower east side parking lot of the Viejas Outlet Center under their new solar roofing (Completely Shaded). There are (2) Workouts + (1) Floater. All (3) are a sprint! And...yes, you do get to push a 32,000lbs Fire Truck.

This is a fundraising event! 80% of the registration fees and all proceeds will go to Challenged Athletes Foundation Operation Rebound who provides injured military & 1st responders with grants for prosthetics and personal equipment they need to be active and participate in sport. TEAM INFORMATION:

• Team of (4)
• Required combination of (2) Males + (2) Females.
• There are no age divisions. Participants must be 18+ years old.
• Accomodations will be made for any Adaptive Athlete's who wish to particpate

DIVISION INFORMATION:

~RX~

-Each athlete should have the ability to quickly cycle a set of (10) Clean + Jerks or Thrusters @ 95#/65#, safely perform (10) Box Jump Overs at a 24" height for both males & females, safely perform (10) Bar Facing Burpees with a required jump over the bar, & have the ability to sprint 200 meters. 

~SCALED~

-Each athlete should have the ability to cycle a set of (10) Clean + Jerks or Thrusters @ 75#/55#, safely perform (10) Box Jump Overs at a 20" height for both males & females, perform (10) Bar Facing Burpees with the option to jump or step over the bar, & have the ability to run 200m at a moderate pace.

~ADAPTIVE ATHLETES~

-Accomodations in movement will be made based on the athletes ability. Upon completion of registration and before the date of the event, the athlete must contact Coach Chappie at #619-787-3818 to ensure proper movements standards are assigned. 

THE PODIUM:

Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place teams in each division. This is determined by a combination of the fastest time in each of the (3) workouts. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

-This event is capped at 30 teams. 1st come 1st served. You may cancel all the way up to the day of the event. However, no refunds will be issued after October 31st @ 5:00pm. 

***If we do NOT get at least 20 teams the event will be cancelled. It will not be worth the time nor will it be a successful fundraiser. Registration fees will be refunded, but Competition Corners platform fee will not. 

***The event will be a go Rain or Shine...unless the rain is so insane it's unsafe to be outside.  

-Event Apparel...we will have Next Level CVC crewneck t-shirts with the Firestorm Throwdown logo available at the event for purchase. Remember...this is a fundraiser. All proceeds from the t-shirts will go to CAF Operation Rebound.

-Set up / Hang Out...there is plenty of shaded space at the event site. You may set up a team area w/ canopy and chairs and invite friends and family to watch and cheer you on. Please...no alcohol & no pets at this event. If you bring either, your entire team will be immediately withdrawn from the event and politely asked to leave. 

-Vendor area...I will announce a complete list of vendors as we get closer to the event. Challenged Athletes Foundation Operation Rebound reps will be onsite. You may make additional personal donations. CAF is a 501c(3) and all donations are tax deductible. I am also planning on having Police/Sheriff/Fire recruiting booths onsite.    

-Food and Drink...The Viejas Outlet Center stores and restaurants open at 11:00am. Cilantros Mexican Food inside the Outlets opens at 8:00am. However, I would suggest grabbing a breakfast burrito at Tapatio's on Alpine Blvd. on your way up. Starting at 11:00am there is plenty food options, shopping, and fun to be had inside the Outlet Center.

-Restrooms...the Outlet Center's super clean restrooms open at 7:00am, but they are about 1/4 mile away from the event site near the bowling alley.
