Als Teil eines weltweiten Wettkampfformats, bei dem Teams am selben Tag dieselben vier Workouts absolvieren, verbindet VDM Lake Wylie die Teilnehmenden über ein globales Leaderboard. Der Wettkampf findet am 6. Februar 2027 in Lake Wyli, South Carolina, statt und testet Kraft, Fertigkeiten, Ausdauer und Teamwork.
Das Format besteht rein aus Zweierteams. Die Divisionen umfassen Rx und Scaled für reine Männer- sowie reine Frauenteams, während für Co-Ed-Teams Rx, Intermediate, Scaled und Masters 40+ zur Auswahl stehen. Jugendliche im Alter von 14 bis 17 Jahren können unter entsprechenden Jugendstandards ebenfalls antreten. Der Startpreis liegt einheitlich bei 195 USD.
Die offizielle Anmeldung öffnet am 26. Oktober 2026 und endet am 24. Januar 2027. Der Wettkampf richtet sich an Einsteiger, Fortgeschrittene und erfahrene Athleten.

VDM is back for 2027 -- teams around the world will take on the same workouts, on the same day, competing against athletes across every VDM host location on one global leaderboard.
Grab your teammate and get ready for four workouts built to test strength, skill, conditioning, teamwork, and your ability to perform when it counts.
Whether you’re chasing a spot on the global podium, stepping into a new division, or competing for the first time, there’s a place for you at VDM 2027.
Division Lineup Male Teams of 2 — RX + Scaled Female Teams of 2 — RX + Scaled Co-Ed Teams of 2 — RX + Intermediate + Scaled + Masters 40+ Athletes ages 14–17 may also compete in accordance with VDM youth athlete standards.
Compete Worldwide VDM takes place at participating host gyms around the world, but every team competes on the same global leaderboard.
Can’t make it to a host location? VDM Online gives athletes another way to compete, complete all four workouts, submit scores and be part of VDM 2027 from their own gym.
