Cruel Summer Competition

Cruel Summer is a 2-day CrossFit competition hosted by Geaux Athletic Club in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Across 2 days and 5 events, athletes will be pushed through a combination of strength, engine, skill, and grit, all under the kind of conditions only a Louisiana summer can bring.

REFUND POLICY All registrations are final. No refunds will be issued for any reason.

If the event is canceled or rescheduled, all registrations will be transferred to a future Cruel Summer event. No refunds will be issued in these cases.

SUBSTITUTION POLICY Team substitutions are allowed up to 7 days prior to the event.

All substitutions must be submitted through Competition Corner and approved by the event team. After the deadline, no changes will be permitted.

Individual divisions are non-transferable.

WORKOUT RELEASE Workouts will be released in phases leading up to the event.

Final workouts and heat structures will be released no later than 1 week prior to the event.

QUALIFYING / ENTRY This is an open registration event.

Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Once a division is full, a waitlist will be opened.

SCORING + FORMAT Athletes will compete in 5 events across the weekend.

All events will be scored and combined to determine overall placement within each division.

Final event details, scoring structure, and heat assignments will be released prior to competition weekend.

APPEALS PROCESS

We want every decision to be right. If you believe a judging call or score is incorrect, you have the right to appeal.

Here's how it works: Submit your appeal through Competition Corner within 60 minutes of the decision you're disputing. The Head Judge and Appeals Team will review your documentation and issue a ruling before the end of that competition day. All decisions made by the Appeals Team are final.

Appeals must be submitted by the athlete, not coaches or team partners.

HEAT ASSIGNMENTS Heats will be assigned based on submitted or estimated times, where applicable.

Final heat schedules will be released prior to the event.

• All athletes are expected to meet division standards
• This is an outdoor/partially outdoor event - be prepared for heat and weather conditions
