Willstream House in Manchester hosts ADAPTIVE CLASSIC on 4 April 2027. Organised around maximum barbell work, the competition gives athletes three separate 8-minute windows with 12-minute breaks between them: establishing a Max Snatch, hitting a Max Clean, and completing a Ground to Shoulder plus two Overheads complex. Final rankings rely on the combined total of all three attempts calculated relative to bodyweight.
Athletes compete individually across two divisions: INDIVIDUAL FEMALE ATHLETES and INDIVIDUAL MALE ATHLETES. The entry fee is 78 GBP.
Registration begins on 9 June 2026 and closes on 7 March 2027.

THE BARBELL IS CALLING
JUST LIFT - the weightlifting competition for everyone - is back.
DATE // 6TH MARCH 2027
VENUE // TRAIN MANCHESTER
Whether you’re in the gym or out on the competition floor, we all love that moment of maxing out on the barbell. JUST LIFT gives you the perfect platform to do exactly that.
You can compete as an individual or in same-sex pairs, aiming to hit your heaviest lifts across three 8-minute windows:
- 8 minutes to establish your Max Snatch
- 8 minutes to hit your Max Clean
- 8 minutes for a Max Ground to Shoulder + 2 Overhead complex
Each lift is separated by a 12-minute break to recover and prep for the next one. Your Total for the Day is the combined weight across all three lifts and your final placing is calculated relative to your bodyweight, making this a true test of individual strength, power and skill.
Bring the hype. Bring the fire.
