Organisée au profit du Gloucester Dementia Choir, cette compétition caritative de force se déroulera le 12 décembre 2026 à Gloucester, au Royaume-Uni. Le programme met à l'honneur quatre mouvements fondamentaux : l'arraché, le développé couché, l'épaulé et le squat arrière, avec un classement établi selon le score Sinclair. Un thème de déguisement inspiré du cinéma ou de la musique est proposé en option.
Le format rassemble des équipes mixtes de quatre athlètes composées de deux hommes et deux femmes, inscrites dans la division Mixed Male and Female. Chaque participant choisit deux mouvements et dispose de trois essais par levée pour établir son maximum. Le tarif d'inscription s'élève à 80 GBP par équipe. Les enregistrements débutent le 28 septembre 2026 et s'achèvent le 1er décembre 2026.

🏋️ KILOS FOR CHOIR – CHARITY COMPETITION EVENT!! 🎶💪
Join us for a fun-filled charity competition to help raise funds for Gloucester Dementia Choir – a weekly service supporting people living with dementia, their carers and families through the power of music, friendship and connection. 💚
This is a mixed team event – 2 males + 2 females – featuring four classic lifts:
🏋️ Snatch 💪 Bench Press 🏋️ Clean 🔥 Back Squat
Each athlete will choose 2 lifts and get 3 attempts to max them out, with Sinclair scoring applied.
Expect BIG lifts, BIG laughs and even BIGGER slices of cake! 🍰
🎬🎤 AND THIS YEAR… WE’RE ADDING FANCY DRESS!
For a bit of extra fun, this year’s Kilos for Choir will have a MOVIE OR MUSIC THEME!
Think Top Gun, Barbie & Ken, ABBA, Spice Girls, Freddie Mercury, Rocky, Grease, Ghostbusters, Taylor Swift, Elvis… or get your whole team together and come as your favourite band or movie cast.
The more ridiculous, the better. 😂 Just remember – if you’re planning on hitting a PB dressed as a Minion, inflatable dinosaur or Freddie Mercury in a vest… make sure you can still squat in it! 🤣
Fancy dress is optional, but there may just be some recognition for those who fully commit to the cause… 👀🏆
Whether you’re competing, dressing up or cheering from the sidelines, it’s all about celebrating strength, community and making a difference while raising money for a brilliant cause. 💚
