Understanding the HYROX season in the Netherlands
Official HYROX races provide athletes with a standardised fitness competition across the globe. Each race follows an identical format of 8 times 1 km of running, each followed by a workout station: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls. Athletes can test their training across multiple divisions, including Open, Pro with heavier loads, Doubles where two athletes share the stations, and Relay for teams of four.
The Dutch season runs across key months of the calendar. Racing begins in November, resumes in January, and wraps up in April. These weekends also feature HYROX Youngstars races for kids and teens, alongside the adult events.
Events are hosted across three regions: Utrecht, Noord-Holland, and Zuid-Holland. You can compete in Utrecht, travel to Amsterdam in Noord-Holland, or race in Rotterdam in Zuid-Holland. Use this calendar to review upcoming stops by month or check past results as you build your schedule.
