Stage 4: Finals – The Fitness Standard The Finals are the peak of the WWA season. This stage is the final proving ground for athletes who progress through the Open, Quarterfinals, and Semifinals.

Finals are built around two core components:

1. Standardized Record Events These are repeatable, measurable, historically recognized tests that remain the same every year. They allow athletes to train for consistent benchmarks and create legitimate year-to-year progression.

2. Multi-Skill Tests These change every season, challenging strength, endurance, speed, skill, and adaptability.

Finals Format: • 5-day competition window • 15 total events, composed of: – 9 standardized record events (always the same) – 6 varied multi-skill tests (programmed fresh each season) • Structured heat times • Published scorecards • Standardized equipment and layout (long-term) • Full leaderboard integration

Finals test the complete spectrum of measurable performance while maintaining clarity and consistency for athletes and fans.

2026 Finals: Honesty Jar Season Version Because 2026 is the Honesty Jar Season, Finals will operate as an online mock version of the long-term plan.

For 2026 only:

• Finals will be fully online • All 15 events will be released publicly • No judging or video submissions required • No standardized floor layout enforcement • No anti-doping testing • No cut-line eliminations • No penalties for variations in equipment or environment • All Semifinals athletes may enter Finals regardless of score

The purpose of the 2026 Finals is system testing, not strict competitive enforcement. This year is designed to gather participation data, refine programming flow, and establish the infrastructure for live Finals in the future.

Long-Term Finals Goal Starting in future seasons, Finals evolve into a fully live, fully judged, professionally standardized event.

Long-term Finals format includes:

• 5-day in-person competition • Certified judging teams • Fully standardized floor layout, equipment, distances, and timing • Strict movement enforcement • Scoring penalties for missed standards • Robust verification systems • Structured heats and live broadcast potential • Mandatory anti-doping testing for drug-free divisions • Secure custody for official record attempts • Repeatable, historically comparable results built year-to-year

Finals will become the official measurement of the top athletes in the WWA season — a combination of consistent record-based testing and innovative multi-skill challenges.

This is where the standardized global fitness season reaches its highest level of structure, legitimacy, and competitive integrity.

World Wide Athletics – The Fitness Standard is a global competition platform designed to establish a clear, measurable system for testing fitness performance. Our mission is to create a standardized benchmark for multi-skill fitness — combining repeatable record-based tests with annually programmed variety events. Athletes from any training background can participate, including CrossFit, running, cycling, weightlifting, powerlifting, military training, and more. The season follows a four-stage format — Open, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals — with difficulty and verification increasing at each stage. • The Open is fully free to enter and built for maximum participation. • Quarterfinals introduce coach-regulated performances. • Semifinals feature trained judging standards. • Finals are fully standardised, officially judged, and structured as a 5-day live event. Year 1 operates as the Honesty Jar Season, where movement standards are published and athletes self-govern. This allows the highest possible participation while WWA collects data and builds the long-term structure of the sport. World Wide Athletics is built to provide clarity, structure, and a progression pathway for fitness competitions grounded in standards, transparency, and measurable performance.
