The MAX5000 Challenge is a simple, brutal and honest test of strength and endurance. Event Format The MAX5000 Challenge is a test of strength and endurance consisting of two parts:
0:00–20:00 Establish a 1RM Back Squat
45:00–90:00 Complete a 5000m Run Designed to be difficult but inclusive, the event challenges athletes to combine maximal strength with endurance in a single test. The MAX5000 Challenge is organised by Prepared Training as part of The Prepared Project. All proceeds (including registration fees) from the event will be donated in support of UNICEF.
How To Participate Participants can compete in person at CrossFit Walleye in Västerås on June 13, 2026, or online from their own gym, submitting verified results (June 12-14).

Start Time First heat begins at 09:00
Athletes will compete in scheduled heats with a new heat starting every 45 minutes.
Full event details, heat assignments, and athlete briefing will be sent by email before the event. ------------------------------- Online Participation

A video of their successful squat Proof of their 5000m run (Garmin, Strava, or similar) Further instructions for submitting results will be sent by email to registered athletes.
